Winter Programming

Ski Programs
Spend Sundays at Shawnee Peak with the South Berwick Recreation Department!  Purchase a pre-loaded RFID pass and use on any 5 non-holiday Sundays.  All ages for $180 + $3 card fee.  Up to 50% savings off ticket window prices!  Purchase online.  Passes will be available mid-December and yours to use any non-holiday Sundays during the 2021/2022 season.

Friday night Gunstock trips!  This is a great way for your kids to get to the mountain with their friends.  Coach bus leaves MMS at 2:30 and returns at 10:00pm.  Limit 40 students.   Tickets are $25/trip and bus is $30/trip.  Bus is limited to MMS students but anyone can take advantage of the discounted tickets and drive up on their own.  Tickets are valid 3:00 - 9:00pm.

When Mother Nature allows, Powderhouse Ski Hill will be open. 

Ice Rink
The ice rink is set up at the base of Powderhouse Ski Hill and maintained by a group of volunteers.  The rink is free to use and open dawn until dusk provided ice conditions permit.

Snowshoe Loan Program
Snowshoes are always available to the community through the recreation department at no cost.

Indoor Tennis
Indoor tennis is currently on hold.  We do plan to bring this program back and continue offering tennis lessons though the winter months.

Breakfast with Santa
This is a fun filled breakfast featuring Santa Claus and many of his elves! This event is usually takes place in mid-December with seatings at 9am and 10:15am and is held at the Community Center on Norton Street.  This event is currently on hold.

Father (and special date)/Daughter Valentines Dance
Join us for a special evening of dancing at Great Works School. Details will be sent home with K-5th grade girls.  This event is currently on hold.

Enrichment programs Treetops Chorus, Mad Science, Zentangle Art, and Wildlife Encounters programs are held at Central School and Great Works School throughout the year. Flyers will be sent home with students or for more information contact the recreation department at 384.3306 or sbrec@sbmaine.us.
